Old Paper 1

'Old Paper 1' is taken from an original acrylic painted study inspired by 'Blickling Lodge Teapot'. Having completed the main painting, I also wanted to capture some of the individual elements. 'Old Paper 1' was one of those. I was very taken with it's quirky, old fashioned formality and how at odds it would be in today's society. Who nowadays would take the time to partially hand write a note when an item was out of stock? The wear and 'crumpled' nature of the paper were a joy to capture.
